Hot Spiced Rum Cider

In a small sauce pan add apple cider, cinnamon stick and cloves (optional spoonful of cranberry would be added at this point as well). Bring to a boil over medium heat. In a mug, add your rum and ginger honey syrup. Once your cider has come to a boil, pour through a strainer into your mug. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Ginger Honey Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 3 inches of freshly peeled and cut ginger or 6 cubes frozen crushed ginger


In a small sauce pan add honey, water and ginger then bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer for additional 5 minutes. Allow to cool and strain if you used fresh ginger. Store in your refridgerator for up to 3 months.
