Instant Pot Pinto Beans

If you don't want to take the time to soak your beans, here's a fast and easy Instant Pot recipe for cooking dry pinto beans. You can follow this same process for any type of bean from garbanzo to black beans although the timing will vary. Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients
1 pound Dry Pinto Beans
2 Cups Chicken Stock
2 Cups Water
1 Bay Leaf
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Cumin
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
Step 1:
Give your beans a thorough rinse and pick out any bad looking ones or anything that isn't a bean then put them in the instant pot.
Step 2:
Add 2 cups of chicken stock and 2 cups of water, salt, bay leaf and spices to the instant pot. Cook for 35 minutes with a 15 minute natural release.
Step 3:
Carefully remove the bay leaf and spoon out your beans. At this point, you could add them to a food processor if you'd like a smoother consistency.
