I am a terrible hydrator, but I am trying to be better about it. I've noticed that it is easier for me to drink more soda water in a day than flat. For a while we were going through quite a bit of Pellegrino and Perrier which can really add up after a bit and is wasteful especially if the recyclable glass bottles or cans aren't available.
My Parents have had a SodaStream for probably 10+ years. I always loved using it at their place. Super easy and convenient. I decided to buy one about 5 years ago. Honestly I should have bought it sooner because I'm obsessed with it and use it everyday. The version I have doesn't appear to be made anymore and has a screw in CO2 canister and the new versions that are available have a CO2 canister that is seemingly even easier to install and replace.
One of the new versions that seems closest to mine is the SodaStream Terra Sparkling Water Maker. It's nice, sleek and is the same size as the one I have. I love that it barely takes up any space on my counter and it keeps me from ever running out of soda water. I drink it straight or with a little lime in it or even in my Aperol Spritz or other cocktails.
I have definitely saved money over the years with SodaStreams CO2 canister exchange program. I have 2 canisters that I rotate through. I was exchanging them at Bed Bath & Beyond but since they are going out of business I looked into it and you can also exchange at Rite Aid and Target. The exchange program cuts the canister price in half and a canister usually lasts us a around 2 months.
If you miss the taste of cola and lemon/lime soda flavors, there are a couple of brands that sell flavoring syrups and you can add as much or as little as you like to your beverage. I tried one called
Organic Ginger Ale Soda Syrup, made by SodaStream, and I really liked it. Honestly, I can't recommend the SodaStream enough. I feel good using it because I know I'm keeping some plastic waste out of landfills and at the same time saving money!
